Parking at BHX - Hams Hall is a long way off

Driving back from Birmingham International Airport (BHX) we ended up taking a short but slow route north - it avoided the detour to the nearest M42 junction, using a parallel "A" road with long sections of 30 and 40 limit, and lots of traffic lights. After what seemed an age, we passed an airport transfer bus, and realised that this was taking people to the airport from the Hams Hall off-airport parking (run by APH I believe). Hams Hall is a LONG way from the airport.

If you are thinking of using Hams Hall, have a very good look at where it is, and be sure that you are going to have a lot of spare time for the transfer. It would be a nightmare of a place to use if you were in a hurry.
